Putting out fires. That's what I have been doing for the last three days at work. Also been grinding paper. (That's shredding for those of you not in the know)

With most of the outside world out for vaca, it has been B&B in the ofc.

And for those of you counting, it is 21 days left.

Center of the Blogiverse
I didn't get mentioned in this story from the Seattle PI on local bloggers, but it seems Seattle is the center of the universe when it comes to blogs. I agree with that. After all, I have, like four blogs or so.

Mike Hampton
Topic: baseball
For the fourth time this year, Mike Hampton is on the disabled list (15-day). The Braves need to find a healthy starting pitcher and start a winning streak. They are just 3 1/2 games ahead with a month to go in the season or so. They better watch it or it's Wild Card city.

On the work front....

There's some good news. I pulled the fat out of the fire for my administrative specialist -- she thought she had lost some information about a patient of our division head. Fortunately for her, I am the packrat of packrats when it comes to stuff like that.

I quietly noted to her that she had sent me an e-mail about the patient with information she needed and forwarded it to her. She was sooooo pleased and told the boss about it. I'm happy.

And on the personal front, I'm worried about my blood sugar count. It was 128 one day and 144 the next. Today it is back down to 122. Hopefully, that's the sign of things to come.
